It is our Patronal festival tomorrow at St Mary’s.
A patronal festival is when we celebrate the patron saint of our church, St Mary the Virgin, the mother of Jesus to whom our church is dedicated. St Mary’s feast or special day is 15th August, but in Bitton, we normally celebrate it on the first Sunday in September close to the church fête.
Our Patronal Festival Service tomorrow, at 10.30am, will be a communion service, and the preacher will be Rev Paul Denyer, the former vicar of Bitton. All welcome to celebrate this important day in the church calendar.
