A new series has started in our church and community newsletter, Focal Point, this month, taking an old photograph and comparing it to a similar photograph from the same place today.
Then first subject is the old post office that served the village for many years in the High Street, photographed in the early years of the twentieth century. Today it is a private house. What is surprising is how little the other houses in the High Street have changed.
Focal Point is published monthly as a church and community newsletter serving the parish of Bitton. It has news articles, puzzles and quizzes. Available by subscription or from the village shop. It is also available online later in the month.
